These can be used as a bed side cabinet or would equally look wonderful as a pair of lamp stands or side tables with the added benefit of storage. The top is nicely shaped edge to the front and sides The top drawer is set back from the lower to drawers which are surrounded with a wide curved moulding which sets the cabinets off nicely and gives them a typical ART DECO look. The drawers have their lovely original handles. The sides are nicely finished with curved moulding which is nice attention to detail. The cabinets are then raised on shaped feet to the front and plain feet to the rear. Arighi Bianchi has been involved with furniture for over 150 years. In 1854 Antonio Arighi left the tiny silk-weaving town of Casnate near Lake Como to escape the ravages of the Italian civil war. Antonio was soon joined by his nephew Antonio Bianchi, and the two men swiftly set up in business as cabinet makers. Store supplied furniture to Marlborough House and Sandringham House, by Royal Appointment of Edward VII, Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary. These cabinets are lovely quality. From the above dimensions is can be seen that this cupboard is of lovely proportions. AGE: The cabinets are antique style but date to circa 1920. CONDITION: The cabinets are in lovely condition as you will note from the photographs, there are just minor marks commensurate with age and very careful use.
