Antique 1930s Art Deco Talent Sideboard / Cabinet By H Marshall & Co. This elegant sideboard was made by renowned Scottish cabinet makers H Marshall & Co in the 1930s, when the Art Deco style was at its peak of popularity. From a range known as “Talent”, it features some lovely curves and handles, and offers lots of storage in a very compact package. The oak veneer shows two distinct colours, with the cupboard doors handles being noticeably darker than the rest of the cabinet. Exotic wood veneer, four shelves and two large draws flanked by two doors, carved case, original finish, signed with metal tag and illegible stamp. WIDTH 54 1/4-137.5CM. DEPTH 20 1/4-52CM. Cabinet is signed with a metal F H Marshall Talent tag with a serial number. No water rings or stains. No chips or cracks. Sturdy and structurally sound. Light to moderate surface scratches, scuffs and abrasions. The felt lining in the top drawer is slightly dirty and worn. The hinges and door closures work well. The overall wear is consistent with age and use over time. A small deposit will be required at the point of sale via transfer, please ask any questions.
